Scope and Content Note

The collections contains various documents relating to members of the Plaut family; documents are primarily family trees and photocopies of 19th century documents.

The manuscripts in folder 5 include The Shakespeare of the Jews about Jacob Gordin (Beth Kaplan, undated); Changes in the lives of Jews in Württemberg in the 19th century (no author, undated); His Majesty's most loyal internees (Paul Bell, 1986); Family history (Marjorie Stern Hess, 1973). Folder 6 includes a photograph of the Clarendon building in New York around the turn of the century and an American citizenship document for Fredrick Plaut (1895).
