Brotzen Family Collection

 Collection
Identifier: AR 10049

Scope and Content Note

The collection is primarily composed of various documents and manuscripts pertaining to the history of the Brotzen family written by Joachim Brotzen. Also included is sheet music belonging to soprano Loni Schwarz-Brotzen.

The larger family history manuscript in the first folder offers both anecdotal family history narratives, genealogical tables, and various appendices containing reproductions of family documents and papers. The music manuscripts in the second folder are all liturgical compositions by Eduard Birnbaum and Heinrich Reimann; it is not clear whether Loni Brotzen transcribed them or if they are by another hand.
